Since Sony has joined the bandwagon of the Phablets just recently, Sony has come up with a new Phablet, the mixture of a Smartphone and a Tablet, the new Sony Xperia T2 Ultra.
Earlier, most of the Phablets launched were quite expensive and hence, difficult to get accepted by the consumers.
The Xperia T2 Ultra is kind of the cheaper version of the Xperia Z Ultra and is priced at only Rs.24,999/-. Yet, with the Xperia T2 Ultra, Sony looks like an underperformer and has not
performed very well in its best suits such as Camera and Sound.
The major attraction of this Phablet is its price which is quite accurate depending upon the features offered by Sony.
The T2 Ultra is available in three variants: Black, White and Purple. The three colour options makes look the phone elegant and classy. Sony has included the power button, volume and the camera button on the right edge of the phone which is a new addition. At the top of the right edge, we can find the 3.5mm jack and two SIM slots.
The back of the phone can pick up the scratches very fast and easily. The phone is 7.7mm slim but the size of the phone is quite sheer.
The T2 Ultra is powered by the 1.4GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. The internal storage is of 8GB but only 4.68GB is available to the users due to the space consumed by the OS and system files. The good thing is this that the internal storage is expandable upto 32GB.
The major dissappointment with the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra is that, the front-camera is only of 1.1Megapixel, so the people who likes to take selfies need to look somewhere else.
The Sony xperia T2 Ultra has provided the user six different home screens that can be customized. In the T2 Ultra, Sony has added a notification slider which is a drop-down menu in which all the shortcuts are included in the bottom of the slider. Also, when the user swipes in on the left of the first screen, a sliding panel pops-up, also called the app-drawer. This app-drawer has a direct access to the Play Store.
